The Men from Lancashire arrive in London |
| On a sunny October morning, many members of the Allied Masonic Degrees from all parts of Lancashire and beyond made their way south to the "Big City". Due to the early start, when arriving in London the first thing was to call at a “Roadside Hostelry” for some refreshment, Egg, Bacon & Sausage, just the job. |

| The reason for this gathering: |
| October 24th 2023 was the appointed day for the meeting of Grand Council; the meeting was presided over by our Grand Master, Thomas Jackson. In welcoming members to the meeting, the Grand Master made quite clear his wish that everyone enjoyed their membership of the Allied Degree , he then went on to express his thanks for the support of the members as well as their attendance, and efforts within the Order. |
Two hardy souls |
| Another reason for the trip south was to support members of the District receiving either first appointments or promotion within Grand Council. |
| First Appointment: Marc Goldsworthy Grand Steward; Bob McMillan P.G.Std.B., John Murphy P.G.I.G. |
| Promotions: Ernie Gavan P.G.J.D., Ray Lamb P.G.J.D., John Bicknell P.G.Reg. |
